October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month
October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month and we at the Sister Study would like to join our participants and friends of the study to remember those affected by breast cancer. With our ongoing research, we honor those we have lost and those who continue to fight against breast cancer. We are grateful to those of you who participate in research like the Sister Study so we can work together toward solutions. Thank you!
Please Complete Your Health Update For a Chance to Win $500!
Sisters, starting in October 2021, we are contacting you to complete either your Annual Health Update or your more in-depth Detailed Health Update (asked every three years). Please check your emails or mail to complete your questions. To show our appreciation, when you complete the questions, you will be entered into a $500 gift card drawing. Thank you!
Congratulations Dr. Weinberg!
Please join us in congratulating Dr. Clarice Weinberg, one of the Sister Study's founders and co-Investigators, who received an Award for Excellence from NIEHS. She plans to use the award to continue studying genetic factors that contribute to young-onset breast cancer. To read more about the award, follow this link: Environmental Factor-September 2021
With the ever expanding outbreak of respiratory illness caused by the new coronavirus—COVID-19—and the ever-expanding news coverage, we wanted to share information about where to find the best and most current information. We recommend checking the Center for Disease Control and Prevention website and the National Institutes of Health website. We wish you and your families the best as we deal with this health situation.
